Query: Why take up B.Sc. in Fashion & Apparel Design as a graduation program? 

Fact 1: B.Sc – Fashion and Apparel Design  is perhaps one of the premier under graduate Course in Bangalore University.  If a student has creativity, designing skill and if one can appreciate “style” and fashion, then this is the best course that one can choose.  It’s the easiest graduation course full of fun, creativity, activities and presentations...

 

Query: Fashion Designing is not just common tailoring?

Fact 2: Fashion Designing is primarily selection & designing. In this course a student envisages and understands to appreciate “style” is dressing. It's a combination of selection with construction, garment making, surface ornamentation, and  study of textiles, fibers,weaves and finishes.

 

Query:  What is the difference in taking up a regular B.Sc - Fashion & Apparel Design course from an affiliated institution under Bangalore University and the same program from institutions in distance mode from other universities?

Fact 3: Fashion Designing is about Conceptualization, Creativity, Pattern making, Fashion illustration, drawing, Sketching, rendering, Sewing, finishing, Ornamentation practically. etc., It’s a wonder how studying these creative courses in distance mode helps students. Generally, students who have completed B.Sc- Fashion Designing courses in distance mode find it difficult to enroll for regular Post Graduate courses/programs conducted by Bangalore University.

 

Query:  What are the career opportunities and future prospects for Graduates in Fashion & Apparel Design?
