Friends - What do you mean by this Second Skin......? You know skin.... here I would like give information about the Second Skin.... Fr any human being.... 3 things are needed & it is called as a Basic Needs....   FOOD, SHELTER, DRESS.....

When we talk about Textile Materials....We all know about the Dress Materials like ( pant, shirt, saree... etc....) Apart from that Dresses, Textile Materials  involved in our day to day life in many ways...

Let we see in this about the basic classification of Textile Materials & its Application in various field in our daily life....

The 3 main classifications are....

1. Woven Materials - Interlacement of 2 yarrns... 1 in longitudinal & 1 in horizontal, both interlaced & fabric is produced...

 (ex: , saree, suitings, towel, shirt etc.)

2.Knitted Materials - Intermeshing of loops... ( ex: vests, briefs, T-Shirt etc...)

3. Non Woven Materials -  is a fabric-like material made from staple fibre (short) and long fibres (continuous long), bonded together by chemical, mechanical, heat or solvent treatment. 

(Ex: black board duster, tea bags, vegetable bags, cigarette etc......) 

Apart from this broad classification there is another important kind of fabrics called SMART FABRICS, it is also called Functional Fabrics.... ( because it is used to do specific functions)

 I take this opportunity to convey that Textile Materials involved in many ways in our day to day life.... from our birth to till death....

The white portion in the Cigarette is the Textile material...

                            In the Duster, the white part is Textile Material.....




Like the above examples, there is Plenty of Products we use in our day to day life, from Textile....

In our life from birth till death, we have a connection with Textile Materials in different ways... ( when baby born we receive our child, the baby neatly wrapped with cloth......similarly at the end of our life in the funeral also the textile is attached/ connected with us)

I thought the connection what we have with Textile materials.... in various ways & it is attached to our skin ....so I thought that we can call it as a SECOND SKIN
